Will you join us in sharing the gospel at Bawley Point?
We are always excited to have new volunteers who are passionate to proclaim Christ at Bawley. Anyone over 16 can come on team by themselves, but we love having families and kids on team too.
Keen to come along? Here's a 5-step guide to joining the team!
1. GET ALL THE INFO
What are you signing up for?
Make sure you know what you're signing up for! Are you happy to camp? Can you get along to mission (Dec 27-Jan 6), and to warmup weekend (Nov 25-27)? Do you understand our vision, goals, and strategy? Can you come in line with the aims, beliefs and working principles of Scripture Union?

2. GET YOUR WWCC
We work with kids, so we need to be government approved!
If you already have a Working With Children Check number, jump ahead to step 3.

If you don't, head on over here to apply online. You count as a volunteer, so there won't be any cost. Once you've filled out the form, you'll need to go into your local Service NSW Centre with your application number and proof of identity. Give it a few more days, and they'll send you a WWCC number!
3. REGISTER ONLINE
Join the team & sign up with SU before November 16.
There are 2 parts to online registration. Keep in mind that you will need your WWCC number handy, as well as contact details for 2 referees. The process will take you a few minutes to complete.

Follow this link to the Bawley team registration form.
Take a few minutes to fill out all the info - this helps us to get to know you, and how we can serve you on mission!
Now we know who you are, but you're not part of the broader SU team yet.

TWO: Register as a volunteer with SU
Head over to the SUFM Website to complete the 'Volunteering with SU NSW' registration form.
Complete the form with your details, including WWCC, Safe Ministry (if available), and referees.
The form will take a few minutes - but you can save progress and return later if you need!

And that's it! We'll add you to our emailing list, and we'll be in touch.
4. GET TO WARMUP WEEKEND
And to our Mid-Year Meeting
Warmup Weekend is essential for everyone coming on mission! It's our last chance to do crucial training, planning, and team-building before mission. Warmup Weekend is at Kedumba Lodge in Katoomba, November 25-27. More details can be found here.

It's also important to make our Mid-Year Meeting (August 6) a priority - that's when our section planning really takes off. Mid-Year Meeting will be at SUHQ in Rydalmere.

5. PAY YOUR FEES
The final step in joining the team is paying your team fees. All the details about what that covers, how much to pay, and how to do it can be found here.

Fees are due by December 17 - that's 3 weeks after Warmup Weekend, and just 10 days before mission!
​
Once you've done that, you're officially part of team. Yay!
Don't switch off though - your prayers and preparation will go a long way toward helping us serve God at Bawley.
